The Senior Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing complex cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft cloud platforms, including Azure and Microsoft 365. ASI’s cloud platform supports our both our internal services as well as our SaaS Product platforms. This is a senior-level role with the expectation for the successful candidate to be the primary technical owner of the cloud environment.
As a part of a skilled team of infrastructure professionals, the Senior Cloud Architect will report to the Chief Information Security Officer & Vice President, Infrastructure. This role involves close collaboration with other members of the Infrastructure and Security teams, encompassing system’s administration, networking, automation, and security. The role requires collaborative work with other technical teams, including Application Architecture and Development, Data Services, and internal Information Technology (IT).
The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $190,000.
Responsibilities:
Actively engage in the design and execution of complex cloud-based solutions to ensure successful delivery that is within budget, meets specifications, and is delivered on time.
Evaluate, Design, execute, and deliver scalable, secure solutions on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
Develop design standards and guidelines and provide mentorship to other infrastructure professionals within the team.
Contribute to the development of cloud strategy, including standardization of technology and modernization.
Collaborate with extended team members both within and outside the department to prevent or address challenging performance issues.
Generate comprehensive documentation on cloud design and implementation.
Serve as a technical escalation point for the Azure cloud environment.
Qualifications:
A total of 8+ years in IT, with 5+ years specifically dedicated to designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft’s cloud platforms.
Demonstrated extensive experience with Windows Server 2012-2022, Microsoft 365, Azure IaaS, PaaS, cloud-native, and Azure foundational services.
Demonstrated extensive experience with Microsoft Identity solutions, including Active Directory Services and the Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) suite of identity solutions.
Strong troubleshooting and research skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with others.
Candidates with experience working for a SaaS or hosting provider are highly preferred.
