Are you entrepreneurially-minded? I'm looking for full-stack web developers and 3D modeling programmers in the Philadelphia area. I recently made an exit on a long-time business of mine and have ideas for several new businesses, one of which has been in development for over a year now. I'm looking to assemble talent to execute on these new business ideas. The business that has been in development for over a year is Bid Glass, a self-serve online advertising platform.
Here are some of the businesses I'm considering pursuing in addition to Bid Glass:
- Digital Collectibles Platform (think funko pop but digital; collectible, tradable, displayable, etc. technically similar to sketchfab)
- Tumblr alternative / a new type of personal content / blog style site with Patreon-style support built-in
- jackbox-style streamer games site with many participants
I'm looking for talented developers who have a history of taking on big projects and executing. You should be the type of person who feels confident to solve any problem given sufficient time and learning resources. I'm looking for developers with combinations of the following skills:
- Front-End Development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/frameworks/back-end communication)
- Back-End Development (Linux, PHP or NodeJS, MySQL or PostgreSQL, other related technologies)
- 3D Modeling & Programming (preferably experience with three.js)
I know this post is fairly open-ended. The destination will depend on the team members.
Here's the process as I see it:
1) I will collect resumes and cover letters from interested applicants.
2) I will interview the applicants who I believe have the potential to become core team members. These will be relaxed interviews. I want to learn about your skills, what you've done and what you're capable of, and learn about what excites you.
3) Everyone open to the idea of joining the core team will meet and discuss ideas. We'll collaboratively decide which business to pursue based on our skills and interests. At this point, everyone interested in committing will become part of the core team and we'll establish a work schedule.
4) Pay will be contract-to-hire. As core members demonstrate their competency and commitment, they will be offered a negotiable combination of salary + equity in the business.
