We are seeking an experienced HVAC installer transitioning into a technical support role. This individual will serve as the on-call escalation point for HVAC installation technicians encountering challenges with Mini Split unit installations. The ideal candidate understands the electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting aspects of installation and can provide clear, effective guidance over the phone.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-call phone support to field technicians installing Mini Split systems.
Troubleshoot installation issues, including electrical connections, wiring diagrams, refrigerant line setup, and control configurations.
Walk technicians through diagnostic steps and problem resolution in real-time.
Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior engineering or manufacturer support when necessary.
Document support calls and resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Mini Split systems, installation standards, and troubleshooting procedures.
Collaborate with training teams to provide feedback on common issues and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience installing and servicing Mini Split HVAC systems (minimum 3–5 years preferred).
Strong understanding of electrical components and wiring for HVAC systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to calmly guide technicians through problems.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
Flexibility to work an on-call schedule.
No degree required—experience and technical expertise are the priority.
Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/French) is a plus.
