Schedule: First Shift (7AM 3:30PM); Saturday shifts, and overtime available
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Weld and drill truck frames to bolt accessories and special mounts to chassis
Measure and relocate components, such as battery boxes and tail lights
Assemble and install mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies
Assemble and install hydraulic lines, fittings, and hoses
Run electrical harnesses into truck cabs and make electrical connections to trucks
Assist in the installation of lift-gates
Prepare equipment for final delivery to customer
Job Requirements:
Exceptional mechanical and welding skills; you will be required to complete an on-site welding and aptitude test
Experience with 12volt automotive wiring (e.g., wiring relays, running heavy gauge battery cables, etc.)
Experience in using equipment common to the welding trade (e.g., mig welder, oxy acetylene torch, plasma cutter, saw, drill press, grinder, etc.);
Welding certification is considered a plus
Metal work experience is considered a plus
Must be able to properly read a tape measure and convert fractions to the decimal equivalents
Ability to drill metal, and bolt and rivet components together
Must own basic hand tools squares, measuring tapes & instruments; calipers will be provided
Must have an excellent memory with the ability to successfully complete multiple step processes
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand on feet 8-10-hour shifts
Must be able to lift, push, and pull heavy material weighing up to 60 lbs.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Ability to work with tape measures, squares, wrenches, impact sockets, screwdrivers, air ratchets
