Am looking for an independent HVAC contractor for maintenance and upkeep on an existing central air conditioning system. I have a specific need now which needs addressed, but long term, looking for a contractor to become my "go to" guy in the future for anything HVAC related. Due to high overhead costs, the larger companies have gotten prohibitively expensive. Looking for an independent contractor, even sole proprietor, who can provide me quality service at a fair price without the price gouging. Ideally, would prefer a pricing model in which I'm charged for parts and materials (especially R410A coolant!) at cost, and a fair hourly rate for a skilled HVAC professional. I currently have a plumber who works for me with this business model, and it's fantastic. Hope to find a similar HVAC professional.
