Carpenter Helper Duties:
1. Assist carpenters in measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling wood or other construction materials according to specifications
2. Prepare and set up tools, equipment and materials needed for each task.
3. Carry out general labor duties such as lifting heavy materials, moving equipment and cleaning the work area.
4. Operate power tools and equipment under the guidance of a carpenter, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
5. Assist in installing and repairing structures, fixtures and fittings, including doors, windows, cabinets and trim.
6. Assist in the construction and installation of frameworks, foundations and structural components.
7. Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring they are in good working condition and readily available.
8. Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others
9. Communicate effectively with the carpenter and other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
Carpenter Helper Required Skills:
1. Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools and materials.
2. Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop and stand for long periods.
3. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
