Lead Carpenter

We specialize in residential and commercial finish work.

We are looking for a candidate that is detailed oriented, reliable and efficient. We are a small, but skilled team that is passionate about construction and delivering projects completed at the highest standard. You MUST have experience and be proficient with carpentry work such as cabinetry work, interior/exterior doors, trim, framing. Your skills will be assessed the first week on the job to ensure you have the skills and experience required for this position.

This is a W2, full time position. You will be required to travel to job sites in the city as well as the surrounding suburban areas.

Requirements:

- Must have a valid driver's license

- Must have reliable transportation

- Must have experience in carpentry

Install cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture.

Install interior and exterior millwork. Millwork includes all window, door, base, crown, and decorative wall panels.

Install doors and windows.

Framing additions, decks, etc.

Add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures.

Read and interpret blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations.

Measure, mark, and arrange materials to establish layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.

Cut and shape structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.

Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.

Erect and dismantle scaffolding.

Use various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.

Delegate duties to helper(s) to ensure effectiveness and efficiency at the job site.

Keep the work area neat and clean.

Adhere to local building and safety codes and guidelines.

Handle company tools with care.

Conduct repair work.

Assess the quality of woodwork and materials.

Comply with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.

Provide excellent customer service to clients.

Stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects.

Attend online or in person courses on carpentry as provided by the manager.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
