Job Summary:
We're looking for an experienced Auto Transport Dispatcher with proficiency in Central Dispatch, Super Dispatch, and other load boards. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives under pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems on the go are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign and dispatch drivers based on job orders, location, and priority.
- Use Central Dispatch, Super Dispatch, and other load boards to book loads and manage scheduling.
- Communicate job status updates with customers and address service inquiries or changes.
- Coordinate with internal teams and drivers to optimize routes and maximize efficiency.
- Proactively monitor active jobs and resolve any issues or delays.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including load assignments, driver schedules, route details, and service reports.
- Ensure operations comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Experience with Central Dispatch, Super Dispatch, and other auto transport load boards is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in auto transport dispatch or logistics.
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in dispatch software and GPS systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick, sound decisions.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
