We're looking for a dependable driver to deliver our bread throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. Starting at 5:30am, you'll load up one of our vans with fresh-baked bread and head out to supply our wholesale customers - from neighborhood markets to some of the city's best restaurants.
The Job
- Drive 2-3 mornings per week, about 7-8 hours per shift
- Handle our bread with care and attention
- Build relationships with customers
- Keep displays well-stocked and looking great
- Work independently while being part of our close-knit team
Our expectations
- Reliable - our customers count on their morning deliveries
- Confident driving a box truck or extended cargo van in the city
- Attentive to detail - from order accuracy to product rotation
- Physically capable - there's plenty of lifting and moving
- Professional - you'll represent Merzbacher's in the community
- Licensed and insured with a CLEAN DRIVING RECORD (we run license checks before hire and cannot hire anyone with moving violations or major accidents in the past three years)

- Starting at $20/hour, up to $22/hour based on performance

Schedule
Mondays and Fridays
5:30am start time
Wednesdays will be added as the route expands
Occasional weekend work with advance notice
While your core schedule will be consistent, some flexibility helps as delivery needs can vary. Like any small business, we sometimes need all hands on deck during busy periods.
