Bredenbeck’s Bakery is looking to hire a part-time delivery driver. Day availability and weekend availability is required. Must feel comfortable carrying tiered cakes.
Job Description: Delivering our products to our wholesale accounts such as hotels, country clubs, etc.; as well as personal delivery to our customers. The Delivery Driver must provide reliable customer service as they will be interacting with key clients for our wholesale business and representing Bredenbeck’s Bakery off premise. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the duties of: packing orders, checking correctness of orders before delivery, loading and unloading car/van, interacting with clients at drop-off location, transporting supplies from our production facility to our retail location.
The Delivery Driver will work side-by-side with our General Manager. Ensuring the prompt and courteous delivery of Bredenbeck’s product is crucial to this position.
Other requirements include a valid driver’s license, knowledge of the Philadelphia and surrounding areas and ability to handle light to medium physical activity (lifting up to 30 lbs) when loading and unloading orders.
Core Job Responsibilities
1. Delivering to our wholesale accounts and private residences
2. Interacting with key clients at drop-off
3. Helping to pack and check orders before delivery
4. Van upkeep: Keeping van clean and smoke free, and not leaving the tank empty
5. Organizing deliveries to arrive on time as venues require
6. Practicing safe and cautious driving techniques to ensure all product is delivered intact and undamaged
7. Notifying bakery immediately if problems arise during deliveries or transportation
