Pittsburgh based real estate rental company is seeking Accounting Assistant.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide general accounting & administrative support to accounting department.
Record job costed accounting transaction & record maintenance.
Assist with data entry & invoice organization.
Reconcile & record accounting transactions.
Prepare and process invoices.
Past due receivables.
Process bank deposits by check & electronic deposits.
Match vendor invoices to purchase & orders, code for job costing & enter for processing.
Prepare vendor payments for mailing and filing documents.
Reconciling vendor invoice discrepancies.
Reconcile & code corporate credit card activity to appropriate general ledger accounts.
Perform routine calculating, posting, & verification to maintaining accounting records.
Support end of month closings & various ad hoc projects.
Assist with incoming phone calls/miscellaneous office duties.
Requirements:
Previous like experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles.
Strong attention to detail
Commitment to high-quality work.
Professional verbal & written skills.
Ability to manage multi-tasked projects.
Possess strong organizational & time management skills.
Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail with accuracy.
Impeccable knowledge of Excel & Word.
Hands-on spreadsheets & financial reporting spreadsheets.
Team player with a “roll up your sleeve” collaborative attitude.
