Part-Time Property Management Accountant
Pittsburgh (Carnegie, PA) based Real Estate Development Company seeks a Property Management Accountant to join the company in a part-time position to manage the daily operations of several Pittsburgh area office/retail projects.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Management – perform all necessary financial and accounting tasks for managed properties, including, but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations and payment of bank notes. This position also includes accounting tasks related to the Operating Company.
Lease Administration – completing lease administration tasks, including new lease setup, lease renewals, tenant move-outs, reimbursements and security deposit refunds.
Operating Expense Reconciliation – prepare annual common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliations for managed properties.
Financial Reporting – preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for the properties.
Budgeting – creating annual budgets for managed properties.
Partner Reports and Distribution- preparation and mailing of quarterly financial reports and distribution letters for the limited partners.
Communication – work closely with President of company and Portfolio Property Manager. Duties also require communication with tenants and bankers.
Special Projects – participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
Minimum 5 years related experience in commercial property management accounting.
Preferred experience with Sage Timberline Property Management Software, but not required.
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Quickbooks
This position requires a team player who is proactive, has strong organizational & time management skills, an attention to detail and an ability to multi-task.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
