Architectural Draftsman, AutoCad + Microvellum

Required Qualifications:

Proficiency in AutoCad a must (minimum 3-5 years’ experience).

Microvellum experience preferred.

2-5 years millwork experience preferred

Provide timely and accurate detailed production shop drawings that outline a clearly defined path of construction for the shop by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensure that all details necessary for production of millwork have been provided in the shop drawings, even where details are lacking from the architectural drawings.

Develops complex layout and design drawings utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge.

Works from preliminary schematics to create 2D and 3D representations.

Establishes design standards and configurations.

Performs checking of design layouts and detailed drawings.

Consult with management, co-workers, project managers, architects, etc. for clarification of design intent.

Create meticulous shop drawings that represent both accurate design intent and constructability means and methods

Consistently and precisely interpret architectural drawings and specifications, scopes of work, and technical direction to facilitate flawless project execution.

Full use of software tools including AutoCAD, Alphacam, Microvellum.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to the highest quality standards.

Utilize Innergy for optimal project management and coordination.

Both actively collaborate with the project management team and possess the ability to work independently, maintaining a sharp focus on detail throughout the approval process, including revisions and data compilation.

Education

Associate degree or technical education in a drafting field is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Experience in commercial construction, with a background in a millwork setting.

Knowledge of AWI and ADA specifications and regulations

Capability to read and interpret complex construction documents.

Demonstrated proficiency with various software including MS Office, Alphacam, and Microvellum (desirable).

Innergy ERP system experience desirable

Collaborative team player with a proactive approach and the ability to work harmoniously with others.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective collaboration

Experience

Millwork: 2 Years (required)

Woodworking: 3 years (preferred)

AutoCAD: 3 years (preferred)
