THE POSITION

The Department of Labor & Industry is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Clerical Assistant 3. This position supports the Referee staff in processing UC appeals involving varied and complicated legal issues. As a Clerical Assistant 3 you will be supporting the assigned Appeals Referee and the UCBR Referee office with appeals that were filed from determinations issued by UC Service Centers as well as remands from the UC Board of Review. Your duties will include managing the Referee's hearing schedule, preparing hearing notices, scheduling services for hearings and transcribing and uploading decisions from digital recordings. You will be responsible for preparing decisions from typed drafts, prooing documents, verifying and inputting data, and maintaining electronic and paper files. Communication will be key when handling client inquiries.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment.

Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Work hours are negotiable based on operational needs.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week after the successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the office headquartered in Pittsburgh.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or

One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
