Job DescriptionEssential Functions:This individual will be responsible for the Global Client Engineering environment within Thermo Fisher Scientific that includes infrastructure, processes and procedure development and implementation, along with training, documentation and support. The individual must be able to work with multiple teams globally on high profile projects along with the work needing to be completed for M&A’s and Acquisitions with short implementation timeframes.Roles and Responsibilities:

Monitoring and maintaining the various ticket queues

Install new software in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements

Develop, implement and maintain system standards along with generating and maintaining operational, configuration, installation or other procedures when needed

Identify and implement automation throughout the Client Engineering direct environment along with other environments that we interact to eliminate manual work-set.

Provide Tier III support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues finding true root cause. Provide solutions to ensure root case for issues is remediated ensuring not to recur.

Work with global teams to ensure global governance for Client Engineering for items such as patching compliance, software and hardware updates, maintenance and inventory.

Employee experience, Site Support, Service Now and Asset Management

Ability to drive and results for acquisitions and M&A’s

Generate reports based on report requirements from multiple different data sources

Develop and assist with metric reports/dashboards to monitor SLAs

Generate and maintain operational, configuration, installation or other procedures when needed

Perform application and hardware testing to support Engineering projects and issues

Ability to present to leadership representing the Client Engineering team.

Ability to give direction to ensure accountability of resources within the team ensuring meeting the direction of the Client Engineering Roadmap.

Ensure patching and compliance requirements are met on a monthly basis based on Security Team Requirements.

Responsible for ensuring driving toward the Thermo Fisher Scientific Cloud strategy at all times.

Knowledge/Skills:

Associates degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science or other technical field is required. 8-10 years of additional direct and applicable professional experience in the IT field may be considered as a substitute.

Experience managing and directing Microsoft Office suite and Excel functions

Strong skills in Windows Operating Systems, especially Windows 7 & Windows 10

Understanding, troubleshooting and implementation of Active Directory work-set and working with Group Policy evaluation and implementation.

Experience utilizing ticketing systems and working in ticket queues

Proficiency in Powershell

Experience with implementing Ideas/Stories/Processes into Service Now and designing/documenting aligning workflow.

Develop of process workflow charts working with other teams and issues within the environment.

SCCM Experience Required

Patch Management Experience Required

Service Now Experience Required

Other Information:
