Position Summary
The position is responsible for collaborating with the classroom team in identifying individual needs. The CBS works closely with staff to ensure effective development and instruction of community-based lessons outlined in the individual educational plans and behavioral plans of students.Essential Responsibilities
To assist the team in effective implementation of educational programming.
To assist the classroom team in the effective implementation of the individual behavioral support plan.
Design and implement behavior interventions with the team in the classroom and in the community.
To assure ongoing communication between the home, school, and community agencies.
To assure appropriate documentation of program activities.
To help assure coordinated school-wide activities.
To assure the continuous safety of all students.
To assure the continuing development of professional skills.
Qualifications
Clearances. State Police; FBI clearance; child abuse clearance; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training; any additional background checks/clearances required by state governing bodies.
Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
Work Conditions
Physical Demands. Requires vision, speech, and hearing. Moderate to high level of physical activity.
Environmental Factors. Indoor/Outdoor: School Building.
Working Hours. As assigned.
