What You Will Be Doing:As Director of Sales, you will lead and inspire the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue goals across group, catering, and business travel segments. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, your responsibilities include:    Lead, coach and motivate the sales team to consistently exceed group, catering, and business travel revenue goals set by the General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing.
    Achieve and surpass personal sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
    Collaborate with the sales team to grow REVPAR market share and enhance overall hotel performance.
    Participate in discussions and provide strategic recommendations for rooms yield management.
    Ensure the group and business travel sellers have the tools, resources, and guidance needed to exceed their goals.
    Leverage the GSO network to maximize production from key accounts.
    Contribute to the development of annual business and marketing plans.
    Assist in building and forecasting the annual budget.
    Actively participate in business reviews and customer appreciation initiatives.
    Serve as a proactive member of the Revenue Maximization Team.
    Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Revenue Management to create and implement sales action plans and monthly transient forecasts.
    Assist in generating accurate group sales forecasted revenues.
    Work closely with Sales and Marketing to maximize promotions across marketing and social channels.
    Assisting managers with proactive account prospecting, solicitation and development via telephone, networking, personal contact, outside calls, correspondence, email and other means of communication.  
    Encourage and drive entertainment both in-house and off-property and maintain thorough follow-up methods.
    Represent Hotel at trade shows, civic/business functions, industry-related associations and other events to promote the hotel and/or region.
    Attend and, in some cases, run weekly meetings, to include, but not limited to: sales meeting, Resume and Department Head Meetings.
    Ensure rate quotes and concession negotiations for room contracts remain within established parameters.
    Contribute strategic ideas to advance business objectives and drive departmental improvements, with the ability to execute projects from concept to completion.
    Help conceptualize and transform site inspections into high-impact sales moments through personalization, seamless execution, and strategic positioning of the hotel’s competitive advantages.
    Ensure the delivery of exceptional, professional, and courteous service to all accounts.
    Serve as the key liaison between Sales and Operations, ensuring seamless communication, alignment, and flawless execution of all client programs and events. 
    Adhere to all Fairmont Opera Sales & Catering standards, procedures, and trainings.
