As the Director, Product you will play a critical role in envisioning new products, launching and commercializing products, and driving adoption of the products to success for our product-led organization.This role will be responsible for product thought leadership of product portfolio, identifying both strategic opportunities and potential threats associated with emerging technologies and executing product management plans to ensure best-of-class solutions.You will champion product management best practices including but not limited to Pragmatic Marketing Framework, SWOT analysis, GAP analysis, discovery techniques, high level solution architecture, product packaging and pricing.As one of the leaders in the product management function at SoftWriters, the Director, Product will have responsibilities for staffing and managing a product management team(s), driving team culture, best practices and, in collaboration with cross-functional teams, set the strategy and product direction of our multi-product business.You should have experience managing agile teams in a continuous integration environment, building multiple products on a shared, modular platform and delivering sophisticated products with high quality and predictable schedules. Leadership, communication, prioritization and a focus on excellence are essential characteristics for this role.You will drive innovation, empower, and motivate a team of product managers and business analysts in an agile environment. Your technical aptitude will be used to lead the teams in creating high-level enterprise architecture design prototypes, standard documentation, transition, and migration strategies. The team will draw on your past experience leading software product management efforts, providing leadership direction, overseeing multiple projects, product definition through authoring strategy, plans, epics and user stories, and to maintain and cultivate overall team health and efficiency.You will draw from your broad expertise as well as exceptional product and project management skills to manage and be accountable for delivering our strategic projects/products/solutions. You will leverage your track record of managing and marketing high-quality software solutions to allow SoftWriters to grow and maintain competitive time to market positions.Responsibilities:

Partner with leadership to drive/develop the strategy, roadmap and delivery of new products, solutions, applications and features which support key business objectives and strategies.

Lead and manage a team(s) of product managers and business analysts in product management and maintenance activities.

Build and own the multi-year product portfolio roadmap based on key inputs from internal and external stakeholders.

Work closely with cross-functional teams like software engineering, quality assurance and customer success to ensure high quality, on time product delivery and that the needs of all ongoing projects and customer engagements are met.

Report out transparent communication on team progress via project plans, dashboards, KPIs and risk assessments by leveraging EOS methodology.

Manage the performance of team members via SMART goal setting and measurement, coaching, mentoring and motivating them to grow.

Continuously appraise effectiveness of the team through objective metrics for improvement and recommend/implement changes.

Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams by providing technical insight and judgment of feature/schedule/cost/time estimates and tradeoffs.

Ensure that product architecture and technology decisions support emerging trends, corporate strategies and future direction of the products and solutions.

Prioritize and manage resource allocation for the products/solutions based on changing business priorities, direction and budget.

Establish strategic cross-portfolio competitive strategy to bu ld differentiated presence.

Develop and lead release planning and deployments.

Establish strategic market driven initiatives to test and capitalize most attractive opportunities.

Develop best-in-class approaches for market and competitive analysis.Business Case, Analytics and P&L

Guides development of business case model, forecasts, and ROI for product/portfolio

Analyzes/informs R&D investment across portfolio.

Responsible for Product/Portfolio P&L

Leads talent strategy, identifies talent gaps, leads recruitment, defines onboarding.

Support and assist across teams, resolve conflict and find synergies across portfolio.

Provide clear feedback, coaching and mentorship, champion professional development of team.Agile/Scrum

Manage Product Owners

Participate in the Agile Engagement Team to evolve agile best practices/tools and remove roadblocks for the teams.Other duties as assigned by management.Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in technology or business, MBA Preferred.

15+ years of extensive product management expertise within technology companies, with a focus on B2B and B2C products, preferably within the health-tech domain CSPO/Pragmatic-Certified

A proven track record of building and managing high performing product management teams.

A passion for people management, thought leadership and mentorship.

Competent in determining the build-versus-buy dilemma for features, with experience in vendor evaluation and crafting frameworks for balancing customization with time-to-market considerations.

Proactive and autonomous leadership style, proficient in persuading stakeholders to pursue novel experiences and optimize existing processes to align with the company's mission.

Proficient in defining and articulating portfolio product vision, strategic product roadmaps, user & product requirements, and go-to-market strategy.

Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

Interest in attending, speak and/or participate at appropriate conferences and public events.

Flexibility to travel for onsite meetings with customers/partners, as needed.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Passion to explore the technology and has a gift for concisely explaining complex topics in simple terms.

Certification/training in Product Management course work or best practices

Ability to mentor managers and project leads on software product management best practices and processes.
