DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

We're hiring immediately - be a part of our vital mission! Vitalant is currently seeking Union (Teamsters 249) Drivers to help our dedicated team provide blood to patients in Pittsburgh and the surrounding tri-state area. Our drivers are the face of Vitalant when they are interacting with our vendors and assisting blood drives!As a member of our Union Driver team with Teamsters 249, you'll use your communication and customer service skills to build relationships with hospital/vendor staff as you deliver and transport blood and blood product, as well as play an active part in the setup and takedown of mobile blood drives.A successful Driver will also use exceptional problem-solving skills to be able to manage weather-related driving issues as they arise and report any issues to management. Pay: New hiring rate $19.75 Hourly + Shift Differentials & Weekend Shift PremiumSchedule: Full-time only, Hours and Days Will Vary, Flexible Schedule is Required (May Include All Shifts - No Set Schedule)Excellent company benefits! They include:

Has great customer service skills and a Driver's License in good standing

Can submit a DOT Physical in order to obtain DOT Medical Card

Professional driving experience preferred

Has at least 6 months customer service experience required

Has flexible availability and who can work all shifts

Be able to accommodate schedule changes with minimal notice, based on business needsRequirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record.

Must be able to pass a DOT Physical, unless already possess DOT Medical Card (as well as maintain DOT requirements)

Must be able to lift 50-75+ lbs, with the assistance of hand cart. Heavy lifting/loading/unloading is required.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include all shifts.

Must have or obtain PA Child Abuse and Federal Clearances within first 30 days of employment.

Has at least 6 months customer service experience

This role is crucial for supporting the U.S. Department of Energy\'s Carbon Transport and Storage Program and ensuring timely updates and alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in CO2 transport and storage RD&D efforts and a keen interest in advancing CO2 transportation safety and standards. The ideal candidate will take initiative and has a willingness to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment with other members of our team and directly with the client. Position Requirements: U.S. Citizenship Bachelor\'s Degree (in Mechanical Engineering or Geology preferred, but will consider other science areas). Advanced degree is preferred. 2-4 years of professional experience. Proven experience in project management, preferably in the environmental or energy sector. Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting and applying engineering principles, theories and concepts related to hydraulic flow, energy efficiency and stress analysis principles. Familiarity with CO2 transportation systems, detection systems, emergency response protocols, and related environmental and safety regulations. Position Responsibilities: Conduct thorough literature reviews on previously completed and ongoing research related to CO2 releases from transportation systems such as pipelines, tanks, pressure vessels, and vents. Monitor ongoing and future research, codes, standards, and regulations development related to CO2 transportation systems. Support activities that align with near-term deployment of CO2 pipeline infrastructure, including booster stations, vent stacks, and associated emergency response equipment and protocols. Attend industry meetings, conferences, and collaborative sessions with project partners.
