Company :Allegheny Health NetworkJob Description :GENERAL OVERVIEWAssists physicians and extenders in providing proper medical care and EKG testing for patients.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides timely, high quality diagnostic testing such as ECG's, Holtor Monitors, and Event Monitors accurately and efficiently and according to established guidelines for procedure. (20%)
Maintains organized and complete documentation of clinical data for all procedures, and ensures the availability of complete electronic files for physician review. (20%)
Performs ECG Management System (MUSE) functions and related clerical duties. (20%)
Rooms and interviews patients to obtain health and physical information. Performs and records patient vital signs, weight, and height. (20%)
Performs front office functions including, patient registration, chart prepartion, scheduling patient visits,procedures, and testing. Obtains authorizations and referrals as needed. (10%)
Prepares and maintains treatment rooms and testing equipment for patient examinations, keeping the room stocked and cleaned, reordering supplies, and disposing of biohazardous supplies. (10%)
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
May require travel to satellite locations.
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum
Medical Assistant Diploma or Associate's Degree required or equivalent clinical experience.
CPR – American Heart Association
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred
Valid PA drivers license may be required
Experience with ECG testing preferred
