Environmental Scientist/Engineer

KeyLogic is Growing! We have an immediate need for an Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our team supporting the Department of Energy's (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). This position will support focus on research related to marginal wells, including R&D associated with methane emissions and other environmental impacts associated with upstream resources.

Position Requirements:

Ability to pass any required background checks and obtain any necessary security clearances required by our clients

Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology, or a related discipline

An advanced degree (M.S.) along with fundamental understanding of oil and natural gas production and transport along with environmental impacts of the oil and natural gas value chain is preferred.

5+ years of related experience supporting oil and natural gas production and transport, including environmental assessment

Professional experience related to managing and supporting marginal or stripper wells with both a production and environmental impact focus is highly desired

High degree of demonstrated intellectual and analytical skills

The ability to work independently, as well as in a structured team environment with federal and other technical services contractors

The ability to manage multiple tasks with often overlapping deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact with clients and colleagues on a daily basis

Excellent writing and research skills are essential

Must be result oriented and able to work on multi-assignments in a fast-paced deadline-oriented work environment

Position Responsibilities:

Provide technical, analytical and coordination support for conceptualization, formulation, implementation, and management of program planning, outreach activities, cooperative programs, and projects focusing on environmentally prudent resource development, methane emissions mitigation/quantification, and environmental impact assessment and remediation.
