Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a GIS Administrator in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. This role primarily involves the management and enhancement of the GIS enterprise system within a Google Cloud environment. The position also requires the integration of GIS with other enterprise systems and the development of GIS applications and tools.Responsibilities: Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the GIS enterprise system to ensure its reliability, security, and performance. Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, reliability, and accessibility of spatial data. Combining GIS with other enterprise systems such as Cartegraph, Salesforce, etc. Creating GIS applications and tools within the Enterprise platform to boost operational efficiency. Offering advanced technical guidance and support for the GIS team, applications, services, and users across the organizationRequirements Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role or a similar capacity. Proficiency in Cloud Technologies is a must for the role. Experience with GIS is required. Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform is a prerequisite. Candidates should hold relevant certifications or degrees in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed. The ability to work effectively in a team and independently is crucial. Applicants must be proficient in managing system backups, configuring new hardware and software, and setting up user accounts. An understanding of network troubleshooting and system security is necessary. Candidates must have a passion for technology and keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments. High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required. Applicants must be open to working in different shifts and during weekends if necessary. Experience in maintaining documentation for procedures, services, and systems is a plus. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel for work. The incumbent files documents and collects appropriate fees and furnishes information to the general public, members of the bar, and other parties involved in bankruptcy cases over the telephone, in writing and at the front counter. Effectively and efficiently uses computer-based systems and programs to review documents submitted electronically via CM/ECF. Performs additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify, the individual must be a high school graduate or equivalent AND possess a minimum of one year of specialized experience (performance of duties similar to those listed above). Knowledge of local court rules, practices, procedures, processes, and forms are a plus. A college degree is a plus. The individual must be able to track case progression and make independent decisions based on applicable procedures, rules, and instructions. Computer literacy is required, particularly in using computer-based systems and programs. Skills in typing and using word processing programs and equipment are vital. (Testing may be part of the interviewing process.) The ability to work effectively as part of a team and to follow detailed instructions is necessary.
