Company :Highmark HealthJob Description :JOB SUMMARYProvides technical and non-technical life safety and health related support to management, employees, contractors, and visitors. The Specialist develops and maintains corporate life safety programs and objectives and coordinates life safety-related training programs. The Specialist monitors life safety-related laws, rules, and regulations, and provides management with information on the Organization's business-related federal, state, and local life safety laws, rules, and regulations.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the administration of the Life Safety Program, including distribution of manuals, training of occupants, conducting drills, inventory and replacement of equipment, etc.

Recruit and traing Life Safety Team members at all locations.

The development, implementation and maintenance of the Life Safety Program, including policies and procedures, all hazard plans and emergency activation plans.

Conduct and train employees on AED/CPR certifications.

Maintain appropriate records and files relating to all programs of Life Safety Teams and Members.

Maintain the Life Safety Microsite.

Other duties as assigned or requested.

EXPERIENCERequired

5 to 7 years of experience in Emergency Management

3 years of experience in Project Management

3 years of experience in Record Keeping/Documentation

SKILLS

Superior verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of emergency equipment and fire detection/suppression systems

Planning, Organizing, Scheduling, Presentation Skills

EDUCATIONRequired

Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Emergency Management or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.

LICENSES or CERTIFICATIONSRequired

Current Drivers License

CPR – American Heart Association

Preferred
