The primary responsibilities of a Medical Insurance Collections Representative are to ensure timely and accurate account payment for outstanding balances while demonstrating excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals and insurance carriers.Role Overview
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30PM EST (Flex Start)
Hybrid Model: 4 times a month in office and additional office days as needed.
What you will do
Responsible for all third party follow-up associated with the dispensing of prescription medication; maintain supporting chronological notes that detail action taken to resolve outstanding account balances.
Maintains patient demographic information and data collection systems.
Work all billing/collection reports, queues, or diversions according to payer and company policy guidelines.
Work in a fast paced and team focused environment to ensure timely and accurate billing to insurance providers.
Transmit or submit paper and/or electronic claims to insurance payors for reimbursement, research and respond to insurance companies and governmental payors regarding billing issues or related questions by telephone, via the internet, and in writing.
Required Qualifications
1 + years experience performing health care reimbursement, medical billing or insurance collections
1+ years experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.
Must live within 1 hour of Monroeville, PA office.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Specialty Pharmacy Billing/Collections
Problem resolution within healthcare reimbursement/claims.
Education
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required
Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$17.00 - $28.46This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
