Network Strategy Development Professional is responsible for working with the Network Strategy team and key leaders and contributors across the organization to facilitate the development, provider engagement and successful implementation of innovative MVP network programs and initiatives designed to meet the needs of our customers. The role focuses on network strategy and targeted business outcomes — leading new, innovative initiatives by clarifying strategic vision and intentions; surveying existing models and theory, exploring implications such as impacts and risks; contributing to the development and implementation of the network strategy roadmap; learning from our network providers and consumers through feedback and objective data to create new models and programs; and planning the pathway from model conception to provider engagement strategy to successful implementation. The team member in this role is also tasked with engaging in complex strategic business development efforts that require successful provider engagement, negotiation, contracting and at times vendor engagement and internal interdisciplinary collaboration and communication. Performs other related duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience with increasing responsibilities in health care program and business development with prior health care provider or system experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Population Health strategies and Alternate Payment Models (APM) to aid in the transition from Fee-For-Service to Value-Based Payment (VBP) including: capitation models, high-performing networks, enhanced preferred providers programs, bundled payments, etc.
  • Experience developing and monitoring delivery of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
  • Exhibited skills in leading program development efforts involving strategy development, program development, provider engagement and implementation.
  • Business development skills with negotiation and provider contracting experience preferred.
  • Capable of managing, leading and coaching multidiscipline, high-performance work teams with demonstrated ability to coordinate resources and goals across multiple related priority initiatives.
  • Must be able to understand, prioritize, monetize and implement new approaches.
  • Organizationally savvy, understanding of the political climate of provider systems and business enterprises and how to navigate obstacles and politics.

Knowledge of NYS DOH and CMS models and programs (e.g., Primary Care First, Global and Professional Direct Contracting (GPDC), NYS DSRIP, etc.) preferred.
