Part Time 2024 Summer Chemistry Internship - Industrial Hygiene LaboratoryPSI, an Intertek company, is searching for a Part Time Chemistry (Industrial Hygiene) Intern to join our Building & Constructionteam in our Pittsburgh, PA office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile environmental career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry!The Building & Construction team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services and building science solutions to deliver Total Quality Assurance to the built environment. The team offers the environmental, engineering and construction industry with a full suite of capabilities both in the lab and on site.What you'll do:
Sample Processing and Preparation
Assist with Reporting
Assist with Quality Control Activities
Learn techniques used for Flame AA analysis for lead testing in air, soil, paint, and dust/wipes
Support laboratory operations for an accredited industrial hygiene laboratoryWhat it takes to be successful in this role:
High School Diploma / GED required
Current student in Chemistry (preferred) /Biochemistry/ General Science or applicable major required
No experience required - We will train!
Knowledge of microscopy a plus!
Must be able to read and understand standard operating procedures
