Post Doctoral.Associate-Aging Institute- Dr. Bill Chen Lab Med-Aging Institute - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (24006412)The Chen laboratory at The University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Aging Institute is seeking an exceptional, ambitious, and highly motivated postdoctoral associate to join our laboratory. The lab investigates the general mechanisms of protein degradation and related diseases. The goal is to understand the basic mechanisms of protein ubiquitination and to translate these insights into drug discovery and, ultimately, into humans. Tasks in this position may include organizing, implementing, and analyzing data collected from experiments involving live human cells, explanted animal tissue, and in vivo live animal studies. It may also include the development of research methodology and animal protocols, as well as writing reports that contain descriptive, analytical, and evaluative content. The lab utilizes multiple methods, including genetics, -omic approaches, protein biochemistry, and drug discovery techniques. This is an excellent opportunity for creative, motivated individuals to make seminal contributions to the field of protein degradation.
