Project Coordinator (Family Medicine, Hybrid)

University of Pittsburgh Physicians Department of Family Medicine is hiring a full-time Project Coordinator to join their team in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a Monday through Friday daylight position working 40 hours a week. This position offers hybrid flexibility, but travel is expected to other Pittsburgh sites. The Project Coordinator will manage the success of two quality improving studies through data management, providing support and education, and grant management. A reliable means of transportation is required.Purpose:The Project Coordinator is responsible for various projects including plan and report development, maintenance of data and information resources supporting programs and initiatives.Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains Excel Spreadsheets.

Assist with department administrative support.

Provide support, where needed, for all events and activities.

Assist in documentation of processes, standards, procedures, and policies for programs and initiatives.

General involvement with all Human Resources aspects of the organization.

Participate in design, development, and implementation programs and initiatives.

Develop and maintain documents and materials to support effective roll out of programs and initiatives.

Participate in the documentation and submission of service requests to ISD and/or system vendor(s). Assist in the assignment of request priorities, and monitor and communicate the progress of the assigned requests.

Provide first level support for department programs and initiatives. Communicate problems or complex requests to the Management.

Maintain an understanding of UPMC health careers to support programs and initiatives.

Provide oversight of the IMPLICIT and 4th Trimester projects at the family medicine practices in Western PA

Support interdisciplinary IMPLICIT teams by strengthening existing workflows and creating initiatives to improve IMPLICIT project implementation at family medicine practices in Western PA

Facilitate electronic health record builds with Epic to support ongoing ICC and 4th Trimester quality improvement initiatives

Conduct routine data management including EMR data extraction, REDCap uploads, and data analysis

Provide ongoing project leadership support at each Western PA site including regular meetings, presentations, and data feedback with provider champions at Western PA practices

Facilitate health equity initiatives to promote inclusion and best practices to improve care and reduce health disparities

Support ongoing IMPLICIT Network in the planning and execution of IMPLICIT Network initiatives, including meeting and scholarly activities

Assist with management of local and state IMPLICIT Network grant funds

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare or related field required

Two years of experience in project planning and/or administrative functions required OR one year experience in project planning and/or administrative functions with completion of UPMC Summer Associates/Pittsburgh Fellows program required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Excellent client service skills and proven ability to deal effectively with employees requiredAbility to coordinate projects, manage tasks, establish priorities make decisions, and follow issues through to resolution as directed, required Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
