This is one of our largest and most impactful territories!This is a remote position which can be based out of any major city in the Northeast Region. This position will require up to 50% travel within the territory (MI, IN, OH, PA, WV, VA, MD, DE, RI, CT NY, NJ, NH, VT, ME).Responsibilities

Lead and drive independent manufacturers’ representatives and one direct BDM to budget and grow wholesale customers

Develop account planning with major customers using customer focused selling skills, prospecting and lead qualification, and identification of decision making and customer buying criteria

Handle budget and business planning for Northeast Region

Participate with the corporate sales team in development of sales strategy in order to meet assigned goals and objectives

Creatively approach reps, customers, and markets to increase the Jones Stephens sales and market share with each

Supervise sales of assigned territory and reps to ensure sales goals are achieved

Visit customers and industry trade shows on a regular basis and document meetings

Communicate product trends, stay actively informed of sales activities of competitors’ product offerings, and participate in new product implementation

Provide various sales and management reports as required – monthly forecasts, bi-weekly major account and opportunities update, and rep monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in a regional management role within the plumbing industry

Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or combined education and experience equivalent

Prior experience working with independent contractors, wholesalers, builders across multi-product categories is a plus!

Must be comfortable with market disruption and adaptable to constructive change

Ability to think differently while motivating and mentoring a team of rep agencies and one direct Business Development Manager.

Proficiency in MS Office
