Growing together.Positions in this function are responsible for the management and manipulation of mostly structured data, with a focus on coding SQL queries and building reports using business intelligence tools. Depending on the specific role and business line, example responsibilities in this function could include creating specifications to bring data into a common structure, creating product specifications, developing data solutions to support analyses, performing analysis, interpreting results, developing actionable insights, and presenting recommendations for use across the company. Roles in this function could partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop tools and models such as segmentation, dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids and business case analysis to support the organization. Other roles involved could include producing and managing the delivery of activity and value analytics to external stakeholders and clients. Team members will typically use business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform analysis and interpret data. Positions in this function work on predominately SQL querying. Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Data Analysis and Reporting:

Utilize advanced SQL skills to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from various sources

Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to provide insights and reporting

Develop and implement data models and queries in Snowflake to support comprehensive data analysis

Data Management:

Integrate and manage data from multiple sources into Snowflake, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility

Maintain and optimize the data warehouse environment, ensuring it meets the company’s evolving needs

Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and compliance

Business Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, operations, and IT, to understand their data needs and deliver tailored insights

Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure seamless execution of data projects

Provide training and support to business users on how to leverage data and analytics tools effectively

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve data processes, analytics capabilities, and reporting efficiency

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics, BI tools, and data management

Lead and contribute to projects aimed at enhancing the company’s analytics infrastructure and capabilities

3+ years of experience in data analytics

3+ years of experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis

3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining Power BI or Tableau dashboards

Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail

Proven solid communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience with Snowflake for data warehousing and management

Experience with Databricks

Proven knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for advanced data analysis

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with Snowflake

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
