Software Engineer

Summary: Responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. Responsible for creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the final program after it has been made. Job Responsibilities: Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems. Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage ones time. Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue. Knowledge of computer development software, such as SQL, Java, J2EE, etc. Education/Experience: High School Degree and Bachelors degree in computer science/relevant field or equivalent work experience required. 4 to 5 years experience required. Impact/Function this role has within the bank/LOB: MCA change effort and Canada ARP Project - increasing revenue Industry background: Technology background required - financial services, payments background is nice to have Roles and Responsibilities:

Attend and participate in scrum meetings and daily standup

Execute on agile project work in non-production environment

Participate in occasional production work, as needed

Must Have Technical Skills:

Cobol, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle

Flex Skills/Nice to Have:

ETL, Weblogic, Flexcube, Java

Soft Skills:

Good communication both written and verbal, self-motivated, takes the initiative, strong troubleshooting skills

Looking for relevant work experience - no degrees or certifications required

Years of experience: Level 2 3-5 years

Provide technical support and guidance to internal technology teams and clients regarding DNS issues. To be successful in this role, we\'re seeking the following: Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred. 8-10 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. Expertise in Infoblox Grid architecture, F5 load balancers and application delivery controllers configuration, and maintenance. Strong understanding of DNSSEC, Anycast, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) Proficiency in network security practices related to DNS and DHCP. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their DNS management tools. Proven experience as a F5, DDI build and deployment engineer. Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols ( DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc) Experienced in Cloud DNS solutions, ability to navigate and manage very complex environment, relevant certifications in F5 ,Infoblox and DNS solutions. Scripting experience and in automation  is a plus
