Strong Cleaners, a 3rd generation family-owned dry cleaning & laundry company, is hiring a Linen Processor & Driver for their Homewood (Pittsburgh) location.
Objective: To wash, dry, fold, and package our commercial linens. Deliver and pick up orders to our other stores, and perform janitorial duties as side work.
Vibe: This shift will involve working alone most of the time. You must be a self-starter who does not require micro-management.
Duties:
Operate the washing machines
Operate the dryers
Clean the items by following the directions given to you
Folding the items in a fast but neat manner
Identify stained or below-standard items and set them to the side
Packaging the items by group correctly
Taking out the trash
Sweeping the floors from the front to the back, including around the machinery
Wiping down surfaces
Cleaning out the dryer lint filters
Delivering orders to assigned addresses
Picking up orders (dirties) from assigned addresses
Use the POS system to rack orders delivered, as needed
Safely operate the company vehicle following state and federal laws
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills
Organized and detail-oriented
Hospitality experience is a plus
Comfortable with physical labor; easily lifting and carrying at least 50 lbs.
Comfortable with working in humid environments
MUST be available Sunday-Thursday 4 pm to 8 pm
MUST have a valid driver's license and current insurance
