Bakery in Point Breeze focused on allergen free and vegan bread, bagels, pastry, cookies, cakes and sweet breads. Looking for an experienced baker to join the team. Bakery is queer and POC owned and staffed. Will also train further if you have some kitchen experience and are a good fit.
Work week is ideally Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. 9am to 5pm with some flexibility for outside those days and hours with advance notice.
Responsibilities:
Prepare assorted baked goods according to established recipes
Maintain a clean kitchen and adhere to health and safety standards
Manage stock
Finish pastries, cakes and sweet breads.
Requirements:
MUST be able to work quickly, cleanly and thoroughly.
MUST be able to lift up to 50lbs.
MUST be able to stand for entirety of shift.
Open to feedback and able to practice clear and healthy communication
Compensation includes:
Accrued paid time off after 6months.
Note: hourly wage is negotiable past listed range based on level of current experience and extent of training required for the position.
