Mansions On Fifth Hotel is a boutique luxury hotel in Pittsburgh's East End. Located in Shadyside, just minutes from the University of Pittsburgh and Oakland.
JOB DUTIES
The Public Area Attendant will be responsible for the general and cleanliness and upkeep of the Mansions on Fifth property.
A wide variety of tasks will be assigned that require knowledge and experience working with heating and cooling systems, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting. This role is self-reliant and requires the ability to resolve existing requests and identify new opportunities using pre-existing expertise of luxury hotel and maintenance industries.
The Public Area Attendant is expected to use incumbent industry knowledge to proactively seek out projects and discuss their implementation with management. The Public Area Attendant may also be required to assist guests with their specific needs, and must do so with politeness and a smile. All maintenance staff for the Mansions on Fifth hotel should also be up to date with hotel events and functions in order to better answer questions and serve guests, even regarding items not related to maintenance.
Responsibilities
Inspect the property daily for any damaged incurred by guests, as well as general wear and tear
Maintain landscaping and outdoor areas on a daily basis for aesthetic and safety purposes
Organize and maintain cleanliness of storage and work spaces
At the start of each day’s shift, check-in with Front Desk Staff or Management to be made aware of any urgent maintenance needs or tasks
Independently and proactively assess the needs of a project and promptly identify the most efficient and cost-effective course of action to achieve a resolution
Adhere to all policies laid out within the Priory Hospitality Group Employee Handbook
Complete all tasks assigned by manager or owners with an emphasis on quality and timeliness.
