Spirit Bar/FOH Manager
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation: $1,000/week + 1 week paid vacation + health insurance match up to $250/month
Direct Reports: Spirit bartenders, barbacks, hosts, dras, servers
Reports to: General Manager and Owners
Schedule: 3 Pizzeria management shifts per week + 2 administrative days
General Requirements:
Experience leading a team in the hospitality industry with knowledge or food, beverage, and music; at least 2 years cumulative preferred.
Experience working in all restaurant positions- server, bartender, host, DRA
Must be a resourceful, organized, urgent and creative problem solver, with the ability to lead and encourage others in the same manner
Must be able to multitask and manage time efficiently
Must be able to safely lift 40lbs
Must be computer savvy, with experience working in Google Drive and Asana (or similar task management software)
Experience working with Toast and Resy preferred
Must have or obtain RAMP Certification for Owner/Manager and Server/Seller, and ServeSafe Certification
Daily Service Responsibilities
Update printed menus
Update products in Toast and troubleshoot POS during service
Lead preshift meeting with all team members
Distribute banks at the start of shifts, settle cash and make daily drop at the end of shifts, provide change during shifts
Manage (calculate and distribute) service team tip shares and reporting
Maintain an accurate master safe count
Maintain great hospitality and service standards among team members
Make sure guests are having a rad time
Fill in as DRA or host during slower days as needed.
Fill out daily log to communicate with General Manager and owners
Bar Administrative responsibilities
Curate drink menu + beverage selections (beer, wine, liquor) based on Owners’ and GM’s desired margins, and staff’s ability to execute
SOP updating & doc creation, organization, and review for all Spirit bars
Train and hold bar staff accountable to service and cleanliness standards, and menu comprehension
Enforce company policies and rules, recommending disciplinary action to GM and Owners as needed
Assist GM with annual staff performance reviews
Weekly ordering (liquor, beer, NA, produce, dry goods, CO2)
Monthly inventory and reconciliation
Establish and maintain relationships with brand reps, sponsors, and distributors
Fulfill sponsorship obligations and activations
Weekly email to bar staff after 3 months in position
Weekly bar + pizzeria management meeting
Be informed on closing procedures, emergency procedures, incident reporting, seasonal facilities considerations, relaying this information to staff
