The Independent is Squirrel Hill is a cozy neighborhood bar, boasting Pittsburgh's best beer program, a spectacular cocktail and wine list, and a menu of gastropub favorites with global inspiration. We are also Pittsburgh's nerdiest bar, playing only vinyl records for music (come check out our collection of thousands!), adorning our walls with zombie, alien, robot and monster theme art from Pittsburgh's own Alternate Histories, and boasting a close-knit staff of well-read, music nerds with a penchant for waxing poetic on beer, wine, and spirits.
