Preschool & Youth Coordinator
Position Summary: The Sewickley Valley YMCA is searching for an outstanding professional to develop programs, plan and implement activities, lead program classes along with promoting and evaluating all Preschool & Family programs.
Responsibilities include:
To research, create, develop and implement dynamic and new programs that are responsive to the community needs.
To plan, organize, lead, and evaluate all Preschool & Youth programs.
To be a team player who demonstrates strong verbal communication, leadership, customer service, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Oversee the accurate records of all activities and maintain them including stats of programs, training records for staff.
To oversee the preschool classes / programs along with assisting with youth & sports programming when necessary.
To have a leadership role in the Day Camp Program with training, supervision, planning etc…
Entry Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a bachelor and or associate’s degree in education / early childhood or have equivalent experience and possess strong skills and experience in:
Program development
Staff development and supervision
Relationship building and assessment of community needs.
Written, verbal, and interpersonal communications.
The candidate must accept and demonstrate the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks commensurate with the position requirements.
Salary: $44,000 - $47,000 (Non-exempt, 40 hours / week)
