Job Title: General Laborer – Snow Removal
Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer for snow removal operations in Bethel Park, Mt. Lebanon, and Castle Shanon. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist with snow clearing tasks in various outdoor environments, ensuring safe and accessible pathways for residents, customers, or employees during winter months. This position involves physical labor in cold weather conditions and may require working early mornings, nights, or weekends depending on weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform snow removal using tools such as shovels, snow blowers, and plows for sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and other designated areas.
Spread salt, sand, or other de-icing materials on walkways and roadways to prevent ice accumulation and ensure safety.
Clear snow and ice from roofs, stairs, ramps, and other high-traffic areas as needed.
Maintain snow removal equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure all snow removal tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Report any hazardous conditions or damaged equipment to supervisors.
Follow safety protocols to minimize risk of injury or accidents.
Assist with the setup and storage of equipment at the beginning and end of each shift.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public or clients during snow removal operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in general labor or snow removal is preferred, but not required.
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more) and perform physical tasks in winter weather.
Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions, including cold, snow, and ice.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
Valid driver’s license (preferred for positions that involve driving snow removal vehicles).
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
Ability to work as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
