PC Law is a multi-state law firm based in Pittsburgh, PA seeking a full-time paralegal position with experience drafting and reviewing real estate documents.
Job Responsibilities include:
Receiving and reviewing information pertaining to residential real estate closings from title companies and underwriters
Communicating with clients and attorneys regarding potentially complex real estate, transfer tax, family law, and estates & trust legal issues
Identifying issues related to chain of title, encumbrances, exceptions, judgments, taxes or any other issues
Producing legally accurate and professional looking documents
Skills and Experience
Ability to read and interpret basic real estate documentation, including deeds, mortgages, title commitments, powers of attorney, subordinations, affidavits, judgments, foreclosures, easements, plats, property taxes, restrictive covenants, and releases
General understanding of basic principles of real estate law, family law, and estates & trusts law
Ability to summarize complex real estate principles in a simple and concise manner
Excellent attention to detail
Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Adobe products
Team player who engages with co-workers and supervisors
Ability to work with constant shifting deadlines and time-sensitive requests
Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner in an office environment
