We are seeking a meticulous and skilled person with an art background having an interest in Picture Framing. Prior experience in picture framing is beneficial. The successful candidate must be willing to learn the framing business and have the desire and credit/financial history to acquire this well-established business located in a quaint shopping area northeast of Pittsburgh PA.
The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, an ability to quick-learn framing materials and techniques, and possess excellent customer relationship skills. Eventually, you will be responsible for creating and assembling custom frames for artwork, photographs, and other decorative items. The transition from employee to owner is expected to occur in 12 to 18 months
Key Responsibilities to successfully learn the business:
Learn and provide recommendations to customers on frame materials, styles, and layouts which enhance the frame piece.
Measure and cut frame materials to the appropriate sizes.
Assemble frames to ensure quality construction.
Mount artwork or photos in the frame, ensuring the framed product is well presented.
Install hardware for hanging.
Maintain an organized workspace, and manage production from initial sale to customer pickup.

Part-time position transitioning to a Full-time/owner position.
Flexible working hours.
Compensation: $15/hr
