Job Title: Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
Entry Wage Range: $16.50 to $18 per hour, plus $2/hr Shift Differential
Reports to: Production Manager
Job Summary:
As a Machine Operator on our 2nd shift, you'll be right in the heart of our manufacturing process. Your role is crucial in converting materials to meet our customers' demands, all while working closely with our production leaders. What you'll be doing:
Your tasks will involve working with a team, under guidance of a supervisor and manager, because no one goes alone at our facility! You'll be working on various slitters and/or die cutters and training starts on day 1. You'll learn to set up and run a variety of work orders and how to read and understand all the drawings that go along to help you understand our customer requirements. Data is important to us, so you'll need to use various measuring devices to ensure product is set up, and finished parts are top notch. Plus you'll record data as you go. Don't worry, we'll give you a refresher on how to read those rulers if it's been a while!
What you'll need to do this job:
We need someone who can read and actively communicate in English. It's a team environment, so we need people who are ready, willing, and able to work well in a team. Basic computer usage is required while on the job. We have found that individuals who like to be hands on with their work have been the most successful in this role. Other important items you should know:
The job will require extended periods of standing while performing repetitive tasks. You should be able to lift and move up to 25lbs regularly and up to 40lbs occasionally. Assistance provided for lifting 50lbs and over. Manual dexterity is essential, and color differentiation skills are necessary for handling printed materials. Additionally, be prepared for a moderately noisy factory environment.
