Burns, Sweeney & Associates in Glenshaw, PA is seeking a Seasonal Front Desk Assistant to support our high-volume tax office for the 2025 tax season. This part-time seasonal role will greet and assist clients, collect and distribute paperwork, process transactions, and file.
Schedule
Dates: January 26, 2026 – April 15, 2026, Monday - Friday
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Additional hours likely offered during peak season (March 15 through April 15)
Responsibilities
Greet clients, explain procedures, provide forms, accept paperwork; deliver completed tax returns, collect signatures, and process transactions
Manage incoming and outgoing documents, file, maintain accurate records, and use software to track workflow
Multitask with technology and client communication
Answer and return calls, take detailed messages, and schedule appointments
Tidy reception area and restock supplies
Communicate regularly with the office manager for day-to-day operations
Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to remain calm, friendly, and professional in a high-volume, busy office environment
Comfortable multitasking with technology and learning new software quickly
Must have mobility to access and lift files in low cabinets, stand and reach at reception window
Must pass a criminal background check
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $15.00
