ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
A successful Maintenance Technician is responsible for duties including, but not limited to:
-Repair, maintain and service all aspects of the apartment community.
-Complete maintenance and repair work orders, in a timely fashion.
-Maintenance of vacant apartments (follow comprehensive check list).
-Provides snow removal of sidewalks and breezeway areas
-Maintain grounds and common areas keeping them free of trash and debris.
-Perform various preventative maintenance functions
-Perform other duties, as assigned
-Must be able to pull, push, lift, carry or maneuver weights of up to 50lbs independently and up to 100lbs with assistance.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
-Must have experience in plumbing and electrical
-Effective communication and interaction with management team, partners, subordinates, vendors or residents, sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.
-Must be available for emergency calls after hours
-Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment
-Deadline and detail-oriented
-Ability to handle physical workload
-Valid driver's license and a vehicle are required. Truck preferred.
Understands and complies with Fair Housing laws and standards.
This position requires personal contact with apartment residents. Proper conduct is essential at all times.
