Position: Part Time Retail Sales Associate
Pittsburgh Guitars is seeking a part-time retail sales associate at our location on Carson Street in the historic South Side neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Hours
We are open Mon-Thursday 11-8 pm, Fri/Sat 11-5 pm. This position will be at least 3 days per week with potential for full-time.
Job Description
- Provide great customer service by being approachable, knowledgeable, passionate, and a good listener to every customer
- Assisting customers in person by answering questions and guiding them through the sales process to match them up with the right gear and accessories
- Take in guitar and amp repairs and write up work tickets
- Continually familiarize yourself with the inventory that we sell and the products that our manufacturers carry. Learning product knowledge is key to helping a customer
- Have great customer service skills in person and over the telephone
- Contribute content for Instagram & FB Social Media Posts
- Assist in receiving UPS and FedEx shipments
- Restock the store on a daily basis
- Assist in keeping the store in a clean and tidy condition
- Conduct sales transactions with a computer-based POS system and credit card machine
- Pack up orders to be shipped out
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must have basic guitar-playing skills
- General knowledge of guitars, amps, accessories, and guitar maintenance
- Previous customer service/retail experience is a bonus
- Basic computer and math skills
- Must have reliable transportation
