We are currently seeking candidates for full-time employment in our role as Hydraulic Technician/Mechanic. We are a well-established small business that engineers and manufactures custom electro-hydraulic actuators for highly-critical applications throughout a range of industries. From steel production, to material handling, to infrastructure, and beyond.
This position requires the assembly, disassembly, evaluation and repair of new and remanufactured hydraulic actuators that are designed and built in house. Also required would be the assembly and repair of some other industrial equipment such as electrical control panels, lubrication systems, pumps, etc.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 4:00 pm. Guaranteed 40 hours a week, and allowable overtime when the work load allows for it. Shop is also air conditioned!
Candidate must also be willing to perform in-field service work if necessary after sufficient training and experience. In-field service work is done both locally and nationwide and may require being away from home for multiple days at a time. This service is performed for our customers as required but is not a highly frequent occurrence. On average you can expect to perform about 5 to 10 service calls per year, and the typical service call would consist of 1 to 3 days. Compensation is increased considerably while performing in-field service work, as you are paid 1.5x rate for travel and 2x rate for on-site labor
Candidate must possess a strong work ethic, communication skills and prove to be reliable. Candidate must have significant knowledge of general mechanics. Experience with hydraulics is preferred but we will train candidates whom possess appropriate mechanical skills and are willing to learn.
Pay is commensurate to experience and skills.
