Overhead Crane Service Technician : Pittsburgh Area
The technician must be able to apply electrical theory and knowledge in troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC overhead cranes in an industrial settings.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of overhead traveling cranes and hoists
Proficient with AC/DC motor control, variable frequency drives, radio control units.
Running conduit, pulling wires, terminations
Removing and installation of wheel assemblies, drums and gearboxes and reeving hoist wire rope
Must be able to read electrical schematics
Must be able to understand and follow Overhead Crane codes and standards
Overhead Crane inspection and prepare proper documentation reports and related data collection
Must be able to operate man lifting equipment and fork trucks
Must be able to follow Company, Customers, and O.S.H.A SAFETY regulation and rules
Strong customer service and communication skills
Organizational skills
Is willing and able to travel. Local or out of state.
Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
Mechanical and Welding experience preferred
Ability to work independently
A minimum of 1-3 years' experience
Must have a valid driver's license and insurable driving record
