PGH Logistics Inc is looking for a driver to fill a Part Tim/Full Time Floater position to deliver office products to various businesses within Pittsburgh and the surrounding region. Warehouse is located in West Mifflin.
As a floater, you will be paid a minimum of $200 per week up to full time pay $500+ per week. If there is an open route that needs covering or there is residual product that one of our drivers can't fit you will go out in our cargo van to deliver. If neither is available we will utilize you at the warehouse to help our drivers sort, load and go. This floater position can parlay in to a full time position for the right candidate. There is plenty of work, so you're likely to be full time right out of the gate.
Start Time: 6a - All drivers MUST be loaded and on the road before 8a per Staples contract.
End Time: Variable - Whenever all of the product is off your van. It could be 12:30, it could be 5. If your route finishes early and we need assistance elsewhere, you are expected to help out. You will be compensated accordingly. If there is no need for additional assistance, you are free to go home. Most full time employees average between 30 to 40 hours per week, some weeks more and some less. How fast you finish your route, is entirely reliant on your work ethic and pace.
Expectations/Requirements:
- Must have up to date smart phone w/ unlimited data plan and car charger for app based scanning.
- Must be 21 years of age and willing to submit to a background and drug test.
- Must have clean driving record. No at fault accidents, DUI or speeding tickets in last 5 years.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the warehouse in West Mifflin.
- Must be reliable and ready to work every day, no exceptions.
- Must be a team player and willing to help out when needed.
- Must be punctual, hardworking, fast paced and efficient.
ZERO tolerance for employees that are unreliable, argumentative, irresponsible or insubordinate!
