Hiring Part Time Kitchen Cook & Kitchen Assistant
- Part Time COOK Job Description Starting at $12/Hr based on experience
Must be able to work on weekend & holidays
Proven experience as cook
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Cook food in various utensils or grillers
Check food while cooking to stir or turn
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check quality of ingredients
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
KITCHEN ASSISTANT - JOB DESCRIPTION Starting at $9/Hr based on experience
Vegetable Processing (wash/cut/package)
Meat processing (clean/cut/pound)
Cooking stations (soups/sauces/stocks)
Knife Skills / Basic Culinary Work Place Knowledge
Skills that include shucking oysters and clams are a huge plus
Must have experience working in a fast paced kitchen environment
Must be able to focus, listen, learn and take direction from chef
Must be hard working and able to lift 30lbs+
Maintain cleanliness of work area, assist with the tasks around facility as necessary
Food safety classes are great as well (Please mention them)
