The Boat Shop on Lake Wallenpaupack is looking for a laborer/yard worker. Experience is not required, but we prefer a candidate who has performed physical jobs in the past. All applicants must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Pennsylvania Boating Safety or similar needed asap. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Grounds/Facilities Maintenance including, but not limited to sweeping, picking up trash, raking leaves, sweeping, cleaning windows, painted, and moving/repairing docks.
Basic Carpentry help when building/repairing docks.
Cleaning of boats and other equipment.
Unwrapping boats.
Daily Dock Checks
Moving of boats via trucks and tractors.
Wraping and bottom washing of boats.
Unwrapping boats.
Carry parts and accessories to the proper location.
Assisting mechanics when needed.
Keeping boats and trailer organized.
Cleaning and prepping rental boats, putting rentals out.
If applicant is mechanically inclined job may grow to include other responsibilities.
Other skills necessary are: Ability to lift heavy objects, Dependability, Persistence, Time Management, Attendance, Independence, Safety Management, Attention to Detail , Working both alone and with a team, Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Must be able and willing to work weekends. Rotational weekend schedule is available.
Pay based on experience. Bonus paid upon completion of season (November)
