Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to inventory management, shipping and receiving, and overall warehouse distribution processes. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to operate various equipment safely and effectively.
Duties
Manage inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels.
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks for loading and unloading materials.
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to facilitate order fulfillment and inventory management.
Perform picking and packing duties, ensuring orders are accurately filled and prepared for shipment.
Conduct shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
Assist with stocking shelves and organizing products within the warehouse for optimal efficiency.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise during shifts.
Skills
Proven experience in warehouse operations, including inventory management and distribution.
Proficiency in operating reach trucks, forklifts, order pickers, and other heavy equipment.
Familiarity with RF scanners for tracking inventory movements.
Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Experience with packaging materials for safe transport of goods.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by job duties (up to 50 lbs).
Understanding of materials handling best practices to ensure safety and efficiency.
Knowledge of AS400 or similar systems for inventory management is a plus.
